Yorkshire Forward

Brief

To produce a tender proposal pack for 14 key global decision makers, consisting of a brand identity, booklet, a video and presentation packaging to communicate Sheffield as the ideal location to hold the 2012 European Figure Skating Championships.

Solution

We designed a contemporary 2012 brand identity for this bid, which features throughout all the bid collateral and the video.

Directed, scripted, filmed and edited by BrandNew, the video gives a tour of Sheffield, promoting its travel links, the beautiful Yorkshire scenery, its bustling city life and its ice skating facilities, plus highlighting the journey the skaters would take when they arrive into the UK. The video was loaded onto branded USB’s rather than onto DVD, challenging the norm and showcasing Sheffield as innovative and different from the rest.

Accompanied by branded 2012 supporting letters, all bid collateral was packaged in a branded, black rectangular box with a magnetic lip to complete the premium look required.

Result

The whole project was delivered within four weeks and the tender proposal pack was sent to 14 countries across Europe, America and Asia, covering over 21,000 miles and 10 different languages. Every pack contained translated text and translated voiceovers, giving each judge their own personalised pack.

The whole project involved many of our key delivery skills; film, 3d, motion graphics, script writing, brand identity and design for print and packaging, all provided through knowledgeable consultation, direction and project management.
